SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER (PHP)

RESPONSIBILITIES• Participates in a very small, agile team.
• Working both alone and in groups to rapidly develop, test and extend high quality software
• Thrive in a fast paced start-up environment.
• Create software and systems documentation.
• Develop testing suites for applications and systems.
• Updates job knowledge by keeping abreast of industry developments.
• Must be able to efficiently identify the root cause of a problem, and design solutions that follow industry best practices.
REQUIREMENTS / CLASSIFICATIONS
• Strong Object Oriented Programming skills
• Strong PHP experience
• Experience using MVC Frameworks preferably CakePHP is an advantage
• Knowledge in FLEX is an advantage
• Previously worked with social web platforms (Facebook)
• Experience creating applications from the ground up
• Experience in an Agile development
• Experience mentoring other developers
• Must have excellent problem solving skills, analytical and enjoys technical challenges
• Must be self-motivated, and able to multi-task
• Must be able to take initiative to be productive and efficient
• An excellent team lead / a team player with good interpersonal skills
